Bathroom Sink Double Hole Chrome Brass Single Handle Basin Faucet Mixer Tap

I bought this tap to replace two separate taps on a corner basin with 100mm spacing between centers. This mixer and the old taps both have standard 1/2" threads (19mm outside diameter of thread, connected to 15mm diameter pipes via pushfit adapters). The hot water tap was always too hot and had seized up through lack of use. This solution has been much easier and cheaper than replacing the whole basin with a single hole version for a standard mixer tap.

If the plumbing had been more flexible I could have just lifted the old taps out and fitted this in place but because the nuts holding the old taps in place could not be undone without removing the pipes first, I had to cut the old pipes off with a pipe cutter and fit flexible tap connectors instead. Two flexible tap connectors (15mmx1/2"x300mm with valve) plus a pipe cutter came to about £10 from Screwfix so it was worth doing anyway just to add shutoff valves.
As to other reviewer's concerns, this product was "fulfilled by Amazon" so it came in a couple of days from Europe somewhere and was well packed. This tap did cover the old holes but only just, plenty of bathroom sealant is required to fill any gaps and stop it moving around.

Only the words "JIE LONG" etched into the top of the tap remind you that this product came from Singapore and it may need to go back there if it's not "fulfilled by Amazon".
