Currently deployed to afgahnastan doing aircraft maintenance.. with
almost no lights in my work area at night. This is working out great.
The red light is good for moving arround my room without disturbing my
room mate.. yet bright enough I can acutally see what I am doing. The
other three light modes have worked wonderful for working on the
aircraft. I can see everything I am working on.. even if it's doing an
inspection on something far away. I still have good visabiltiy.. only
bad part is the switch is hard to use with gloves on.. but not bad for
the price and what you get..
I use this to run early morning on uneven surfaces when it is dark.
While using this light I no longer trip and stumble and feel much safer
running. I'm 63 and really don't need to be falling when I run. I use
the lowest of the light settings and it still gives plenty of light.
Being able to raise or lower where the light is pointing is a plus.
Haven't had it long enough to know about battery life. I'm very pleased
with this purchase.
I had a similar headlight from Energizer prior to these, that had issues
I didn't even notice until after I bought this headlight. This
headlight is not only brighter, but also shines the red light first,
which is good for use at night if you are someone who uses the red light
often and doesn't want to have to click through the bright white lights
just to get to the red light, so for me this is a good feature. It
also keeps most of the light shining forward, and so the light that
bleeds out of the side does not get into your eyes as badly as the older
models.
This is a great headlight that works in both small
indoor spaces, and outdoor open spaces. Its cheap, comfortable, bright,
and with various important lighting options. Definitely a must have
over a regular or specialty flashlight if the primary purpose is for
general illumination, especially if you intend to be active in the dark.
Some people think headlights are silly but being hands free is far
smarter than holding a regular flashlight that usually has bad
illumination to boot.
