I lost my FitBut Ultra so I got a One. Actually I was going to get it
anyway just so that I could sync with my iPhone rather than have to plug
a dock into my laptop. I really love the device - it keeps me motivated
to burn calories and also helps me determine how much I should eat each
day - but only because I log all of my food. Note that the food logging
in the FitBit software may work well enough for most people but I count
carbs and the FitBit software only displays calories so I need to use a
more comprehensive app to count carbs. But after weighing my food and
totaling it every day in MyNetDiary, I enter the calories into FitBit to
log and see if I am meeting my goal or not.
My wish is - please
display and sum up carbs, protein, fat, and nutrients for each food item
and each meal like MyNetDiary Diabetes version (which does the most
meaningful type of net carbs).
I'm a huge fan of fitbit and already had the original fitibt which
finally broke (although it was still working). The "One" is made so the
clip is more sturdy (almost too sturdy and I worry about snagging my
finer clothing but it hasn't happened) and I love that I can update my
steps throughout the day on my iphone. I really love this little
gadget. It even has cute little sayings to make you love it even more.
I have not gone a day without mine since I bought the first one in
April 2011. They have definitely made some improvements with this newer
version. It syncs much better to my computer and the charger is
shorter and stays out of the way. I can't imagine life without a
fitbit. It challenges me to go further, let's me know how well and how
long I slept and syncs with myfitnesspal where I keep my diary. What
more could I want for keeping track of my steps and overall fitness.
It's become a part of my life. I even took it on vacation. Highly
recommended.
