This is my first time buying an external hard drive but i have seen all
my friends buy drives from different companies such as sea-gate and
western digital. I have got to say this one blows all of those out of
the water! this drive is quiet and with USB 3.0 all my data transfers
fast, i can play blue ray movies off of it and onto my computer
flawlessly and that's just with USB 2.0. I haven't experienced any over
heating at all and i use this drive constantly, because i play my movies
that i keep back up copies of. It's very stylish and the brushed metal
looks great. this hard drive doesn't turn off randomly like I've seen
with other drives. When the drive is on there is only one small blue
light that blinks on the front of it and it's not too bright or annoying
at all, it just makes the appeal look that much better. the price is
also a great deal at $100 for 2TB. IF this drive happens to fail on me
in the near future i will come back and change my review, but so far so
good.
This unit is the best external HDD I have owned. Fast, quite and cool.
I will use the instead of my NAS since it is must faster and quieter. I
will by another and highly recommend this unit. It won't dissapoint.
Don't forget to buy a USB 3 cable since the included one is very short.
I bought the Accell A111B-0010B Premium USB 3.0 A/B Cable which worked
like a champ.
I tried to order a 2nd unit it would not let me
place the order since there is a quantity limit. Why don't you clearly
post on the item that the quantites are limited.
